Assignment for Monday, June 8, 2009: Last Addition to Your Wiki Page

What is one idea that you have for how to improve our school? Consider the following when writing your response:
  • This should benefit all students
  • This should be something that is able to be done (you don't have a million dollars)
  • This should not be something like give less homework, shorter day, less writing, etc.
  • Write as much as you can! Be detailed and creative!

Assignment for Friday, June 5, 2009: More Additions to Your Wiki Page

  1. Finish your assignments from yesterday.
  2. New Grade Feelings... Write about how you felt going into 4th grade. Were you scared, excited, nervous, curious? What went through your mind? How did that change after being in class for a while? Then, write about how you feel about going to fifth grade? Are you scared, excited, nervous, curious? What do you think is going to be different about fifth grade? What will be the same? Include any other information that you think is important.
  3. Feel free to add more images (you must create them), change the formatting of your page (font, color), or make any other changes you would like to that are appropriate.

Assignment for Thursday afternoon, June 4, 2009: Add to Your Wiki Page

*Remember to use Header 3 for the topic, and Normal for the response.
*Be detailed! Explain your thinking!

*Add any clipart or images (it must be something you created on your own) you would like to your page. You must have writing to go with any clipart or images unless you check with Mr. Lucci first. REMEMBER FOR CLIPART & IMAGES TO USE THE INSERT FILES BUTTON, NOT THE INSERT LINKS BUTTON.


Assignment for Thursday, June 4, 2009: Upload Your Best Work

  1. Log into your network file.
  2. Find one (or two) documents that you think represent your best work. They can be a writing piece, comic life piece, or something else.
  3. Open up the document. Proofread it. Take your last name off of it.
  4. Rename the file with your first name first, then the rest of it. (example: reggifallwriting.doc)
  5. Go to your wiki page.
  6. Sign on.
  7. Click edit.
  8. On a new line at the bottom, using Heading 3, write: My Best Work
  9. Press return.
  10. Click insert images and files -Picture_1.png
  11. Click the upload files tab - upload.png
  12. Click browse...
  13. Find your file.
  14. Click upload.
  15. Click the - insert.png
  16. Click the links to files button - links.png
  17. Find your file and double click it. If you can't find your file, click on the first letter of your file where it says jump (example: click "r" if the file is reggifallwriting.doc).
  18. Check with Mr. Lucci before saving!
